Peels

That fresh feeling. A pick-me-up. Do you recognize it from a scrub or peel you've done at home? Maybe it's all new to you and you're looking for information about professional peels. The dermal therapists at Huid & Laser Kliniek Delft will welcome you. We offer all the expertise needed for your mild or deep peels. Perfect for large pores, rosacea, pigmentation and acne.

Renew. Refresh. Rejuvenate. A professional peel, also called chemical peel, gives your skin the chance to renew itself. By rejecting dead skin cells (exfoliating), enlarged pores, wrinkles and rosacea, for example, are reduced. Afterwards the younger skin appears, which is much more suitable for you and does you justice.

Are you thinking about a professional exfoliation? Maybe you want to do something about dull or dry skin. Maybe you are looking for a solution to pigmentation or acne scars. Or both. In all cases we like to think along with you and together find the peel that best suits your situation.

A peel can be a sensitive treatment. That's why you need an experienced dermal therapist you can trust, who works with high-end skin care products and the latest peel treatments. Our dermal therapists will be happy to tell you all about the professional peels at Huid & Laser Kliniek Delft in person.

Step-by-step chemical peel treatment

Peels, including chemical peels, make your skin shed dead skin cells faster and renew itself naturally. At Huid & Laser Kliniek in Delft we provide professional mild, medium and deep (chemical) peels. This is how your skin can improve in 6 steps.

Step 1.

Welcome. We get acquainted, take a look at your skin and together make a treatment plan;

Step 2.

We take a picture of your skin, so you can see the results after the treatments;

Step 3.

The deep cleansing removes blockages, then we apply the first peel layer;

Step 4.

The peel soaks into the pores. Burning sensation and itching only lasts a few minutes;

Step 5.

Time to cool the skin with a fan and see if another peel layer is needed;

Step 6.

Finally, we condition the skin with an appropriate skin care product;

Step 7.

After 2 days the peel process starts. This can take 5/7 days.

Step 8.

For the next treatment you come to the clinic within 2/4 weeks.

During the consultation your skin therapist will give you advice on how to best prepare your skin for the peel, with the right products. Even after the treatment, good home care is indispensable. It has a calming and protective effect, increases the effect and maintains the result. We explain more about home care in this blog.

Number of treatments

We can achieve the best results in 4 to 8 treatments. These treatments always last about 30 minutes and take place every 2 to 4 weeks. That seems pretty short in a row? Correct, this is because the treatment works at its best in this interval of time. After the entire course we review the results together and determine whether your skin needs an additional treatment plan. Of course we always give you advice on how to best care for your skin at home after the peel.

Rates of peel treatments

You probably want to know what kind of budget you can take into account and whether the treatment will be reimbursed. Peels performed for acne therapy can be (partially) reimbursed under the supplementary insurance. For other skin indications, there may be no reimbursement. Please be sure to check your policy conditions. If necessary, your dermal therapist will also contact your family doctor or dermatologist. These are our prices for treatments and products:

Medical mild to medium depth peel 95,-
TCA peel 12 - 18% 160,-
Cosmopeel forte | starting from

455,-

Frequently asked questions

What is an exfoliator exactly?

Excellent question. What is exfoliation? With a peel product we treat your skin to remove the top layer of dead skin cells. Then the production of collagen and elastin is stimulated. So you can more quickly get a 'new skin layer' that is smoother and looks fresher. A good peeling also works anti-inflammatory and anti sebum. Different peels work at different depths in the skin.

What kind of peels are available?

Broadly speaking, there are three types of peels; superficial, medium and deep chemical peels. Superficial peelings are for example fruit acid peel, alpha hydroxyacids (AHAs) betahydroxyacids (BHAs). For a medium-deep chemical peel we choose for example a Jessner mild TCA 7% peel. A good deep peel is for example a TCA 18% or a TCA icm with Phenol (Cosmopeel Forte). Discover in this blog all about different types of peels.

Is a peel suitable for me?

Our different peels are very well suited when you suffer from acne, enlarged pores, sun damage, pigmentation or even very sensitive skin such as rosacea. But in reality every skin deserves a boost with a peeling every now and then. Therefore we also provide a peel treatment when your skin could use a refreshing boost. Schedule a free consultation and we'll discuss your other questions.

What does a peel treatment at Huid & Laser Kliniek in Delft cost?

A mild to medium-depth peel costs 89,-. And a deep peel (TCA) costs 150,-. Good news: it is possible that you get a partial refund from the insurance. Our dermal therapists are happy to give you advice and think along with you. Even if a referral is needed.

Does a peel feel painful?

Sensitivity depends on your skin type. Of course, you always feel something. To make the treatment as comfortable as possible, we start with a mild peel to let the skin get used to it first. Most customers describe the peeling treatment as a 'slight tingle'. Read about the experience of Lotte and find out how she experienced our skin peel.

Which peel works well against acne?

A chemical peel based on salicylic acid works best against acne. Dead skin cells are released, allowing new skin to emerge more quickly. This proven effective peel reaches deep into your pores and also inhibits excessive sebum production. Read more about our acne treatments here.

What cream do I use after a peel?

Up to a few days after the peeling treatment, use the cream from Meditopics or Dermaceutic K-ceutic with SPF 50 or a very mild skin care. Do not use too much, in order to give the flaking process space as well. In addition, it is good to regularly treat the skin with sunscreen SPF 30/50. Of course, your dermal therapist will take the time to tell you more about this.

What are your tips for a peeling at home?

Doing a peel at home, good idea. Especially if you want to give your skin a little boost once in a while. Select good products with the right percentage of ingredients from, for example, Meditopics or Dermaceutic. Do you suffer from a skin indication like acne, rosacea or pigmentation and do you want a longer lasting result? Then schedule a free consultation.
