Before- and aftercare Plasma lift

Before treatment

  • Treatment cannot be done on sun tanned skin. Avoid sun or tanning beds for 6 weeks prior to treatment.
  • Sunscreen with SPF30/50 should be applied regularly; 6 weeks before to 12 weeks after treatment.
  • If the eyes are treated, wear sunglasses in addition to sunscreen to prevent sun tanned skin.
  • On the day of treatment you may not have a cold sore. In that case we make a new appointment.
  • A treatment by injectables or fillers should be at least 3 months ago.
  • Wearing contacts is not allowed during the treatment of upper and lower eyelids. The days after treatment, wearing contacts is also not recommended.
  • When wearing artificial eyelashes they should be removed at least 2 weeks prior to the treatment (upper and lower eyelids).
  • The treatment cannot take place during pregnancy and / or breastfeeding.
  • Come to the appointment without make-up.

After treatment

  • For at least 8 hours after treatment, do not wet the scabs (do not shower).
  • In the morning and evening, 8 hours after treatment, apply the wound cleansing spray to a gauze pad and clean the area by dabbing carefully. Continue doing this daily until the scabs all gone. You will be given the wound cleanser after the treatment.
  • To reduce the risk of infection, do not go to the sauna or swimming for 7 days after treatment.
  • Wash and disinfect your hands regularly, especially if you have pets.
  • Do not scratch or rub the treated area.
  • Do not use make-up on the treated area while the scabs are on it.
  • Do not use a coolpack to cool the skin. This slows down the healing process and decreases collagen production and reduces treatment results.
  • After 1 week - when the scabs have disappeared - apply K-ceutic SPF 50 daily, every 3 hours for up to six weeks after the treatment (even if the sun is not shining).
  • The plasma dots that have appeared on the skin during the treatment need several weeks to recover.
  • In case of reaction, take a painkiller such as Paracetamol.
  • In case of severe swelling, antihistamine (hay fever) tablets may be swallowed (available from chemists or pharmacies).
  • A check-up takes place 2 and 8 weeks after treatment.
