Before- and aftercare treating Scars by laser

Before treatment

• The treatment cannot take place on a sun tanned skin.
• Sunscreen with SPF30/50 should be applied regularly; 6 weeks before to 4 weeks after treatment.
• Hairs in the treatment area may be short, but does not have to be shaved completely. Up to 24 hours prior the treatment you’re able to shave.
• On the day of treatment you may not have a cold sore. In that case we make a new appointment.
• Come to the appointment without make-up if it is applied to the area to be treated.

After treatment

• Up to 24 hours after the treatment you should not take a hot shower, exercise or go to the sauna.
• After a laser treatment it is recommended to use a soothing after-treatment cream, this is available in our clinic.
• Do not use irritating skin care for 2 days after the treatment, but use products without parabens and perfume.
• Contact us if your skin shows blisters or still feels extremely swollen, red, itchy or burning after 3 days.
