After treatment

  • After treatment, do not exercise, swim or go to the sauna for 48 hours.
  • On day 2 after treatment, your skin sometimes begins to flake. This is a desirable reaction and lasts up to 5 days. With a TCA peel, this flaking can be more severe and last at least 7 days.
  • Do not scratch skin sheets/crusts, this will prevent scarring.
  • Until 2 weeks after the peeling, it is better to avoid the sun or tanning beds, because your skin is fragile. Apply sunscreen with SPF 30/50 regularly.

  • For 3-5 days after the peeling, cleanse your skin in the morning and evening only with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.
  • For the first 5-10 days after treatment, do not use irritating skin care or medication creams until your skin feels normal and is no longer red.
  • Until a few days after treatment, you can use the post-treatment cream from the clinic or a very mild skin care product. Do not apply too much and not too often so that you do not counteract the flaking process.

  • Contact us if your skin blisters or still feels extremely swollen, red, itchy or burning after 3 days.
