- To reduce any swelling, you can apply a cold compress/cool pack wrapped in a piece of cloth. Note: do not put ice directly on the skin.

- Avoid sun exposure and UV tanning lamps until swelling and redness have disappeared.
- Avoid using sauna and steam baths for 24 hours.
